Moving Permalloy (MP) System: Unlike typical Moving Magnet (MM) or Moving Coil (MC) designs, Nagaoka's signature MP series uses a lightweight piece of magnetized permalloy instead of a heavy magnet. This lowers the moving mass, allowing the stylus and cantilever to track record grooves with greater accuracy and clarity.
In-House Manufacturing: Nagaoka builds its parts—including diamond tips, cantilevers, coils, and magnets—entirely in-house.
Replaceable Stylus: Users can easily swap out worn or upgraded needle assemblies on the MP and JT series cartridges.
