LUMIN N1 Audiophile Network Switch
The LUMIN N1 is a dedicated 10-port audiophile network switch. Six Gigabit RJ45 copper ports + four SFP fibre cages, all driven by an internal high-stability clock with a 10 MHz BNC input for synchronisation against an external master clock or a partnering LUMIN U2X transport.
The fibre SFP ports provide complete galvanic isolation between the switch and any equipment connected through them — the optical converters convert the electrical signal to light and back, breaking any ground-loop path between the home network and the audio system. The internal toroidal linear power supply lives in a shielded compartment to keep switching noise from the network electronics out of the audio signal path. 2.5 kg in a 360 × 236.5 × 60.5 mm aluminium chassis.
The N1 sits between the home modem / router and the LUMIN streamer. It’s also the natural mate for the LUMIN U2X 10 MHz clock I/O — combine the two and the network switch, the transport, and (via the U2X clock-out) the partnering DAC all run from a single time reference.
