The VENOM USB uses Shunyata Research's exclusive VTX (Virtual Tube Geometry) conductors which improves audio and video performance. VTX geometry significantly reduces signal degrading skin effects in high speed digital transmission. The VENOM USB's signal conductors and power conductors are physically separate. This is diferent from common USB cables where the signal and power conductors are twisted together in a bundle. It is well known that USB power from a computer can be very noisy and the noise from the power conductors can contaminate the signal conductors unless they are physically separated. Additionally, the Venom USB employs three separate shields to protect the signal from RFI and EMI contamination. This power and signal separation reduces induced noise and distortion to vanishingly low levels.
Do not be fooled by the VENOM USB's reasonable price, as every aspect of its design and material construction has been optimized for superior audio performance.
Unlike the majority of USB's that are little more than re-badged printer cables, the VENOM USB uses Shunyata’s most expensive VTX (Virtual Tube Geometry) pure copper conductors, which bring a more life-like textural element and image density to visual and audio performances. The VENOM USB’s signal conductors are are completely separated from the power conductors, which is a departure from the mixed power and signal conductor bundle that comprise the vast majority of USB cable designs. This power and signal separation reduces cross-talk and noise to vanishingly low levels.
No similar product approaches the combination of construction quality, performance and undeniable value of Shunyata Research's VENOM USB.
Available in .75m, 1.5m and 3.0m lengths
There are many audiophile grade USB cables in the 500 to 1000 dollars USD category that do not have the technical advantages or performance provided by the VENOM USB cable. And yet the VENOM USB is priced less than 200 dollars USD retail.
