The MPC-12A is similar in function to our traditional power distributors in that it is intended for normal audio and video systems that are not specifically computer based audio systems.

The MPC-12A has two independent zones of 6 outlets each, for a total of 12 outlets. This allows for the normal segregation of analog and digital components or between amplifiers and source components. The "A" designation stands for audio although it can also be used in all forms of audio/video systems. The two isolated zones will be labeled "A/V Zone 1" and "A/V Zone 2”.

At the core of the MPC-12A are Shunyata’s latest generation of CCI™ (Component-to-Component Interference) filters. These powerful multi-frequency noise-filters provide exceptional isolation for electronics without interfering with DTCD (Dynamic Transient Current Delivery) or electronics power supply function. The MPC-12 "A" has none of the drawbacks commonly associated with traditional forms “power conditioning” yet provides all of the protection and noise isolation that benefit electronics systems of all types.

Complementing the superior noise isolation in the MPC-12 "A" are dual 12 gauge OFE 101 copper conductors. This massive 9 gauge aggregate conductor set insures optimum DTCD performance for any and all high-current draw systems. Surge and spike protection are included in the form of Shunyata Research'’s Surge module, which has had a virtually zero failure rate since its inception. Putting these elements together in a 12 outlet, form-follows-function package makes the MPC-12 "A" an incredible value. For those looking at the next big step-up from Shunyata Research’s critically heralded PS-8 power distributor, the MPC-12 "A" delivers on that promise.

The MPC-12 also features on-board surge, spike and over-current protection with a built-in status L.E.D. indicator. It would not be uncommon to see price tags upwards of $5,000 for a power conditioner with MPC-12’s level of performance and unique features.

DTCD™ Designed
The MPC-12 was designed using Shunyata Research’s exclusive DTCD™ Analyzer which measures dynamic instantaneous current delivery.

CCI™ Filter
This is the latest incarnation of Shunyata Research’s proprietary noise reduce filter technology. The CCI™ is a significant advancement over the previous VF-IV filters that were developed for the award winning HYDRA VRay. It is a capacitive array that reduces digital noise without the associated ringing that plague other capacitive filter designs. There are two CCI filters, one dedicated to the Digital section and the other for the Analog. 

CCI™ Noise Reduction
CCI™ (component-to-component interference) is caused by the interaction of the electronic components that are connected to the unit. The CCI™ filter consists of a multi-element capacitive filter that reduces RFI and power supply generated interference.

A hydraulic electromagnetic breaker is far superior to inexpensive thermal breakers or common fuses. It provides maximum current flow even when the unit is operating at its maximum rating.

L.E.D. Fault Indicator

The MPC-12 includes a detector monitors the status of the surge and noise protection circuitry. A red L.E.D will illuminate in the event of a fault condition.

This unit provides surge protection and over-current protection. However, the best form of surge protection is whole house surge protection installed at the home electrical panel. (Contact a qualified electrician) This unit is a power distributor and does not regulate power voltage. It does not provide over-voltage protection and it does not convert voltages.
