The new Monitor Audio Platinum Series 3G series offers a choice of four premium models designed to satisfy both two-channel or multi-channel home theatre system configurations. The series consists of the Platinum 100 3G stand mount, Platinum 200 3G mid-sized floor stander, and the formidable, flagship floor stander, the Platinum 300 3G. Each speaker works independently in a high-performance two-channel system, or, with the addition of the Platinum 250 3G centre-channel as part of a high-performance AV system. However you choose to configure them, they will propel the listener into a truly immersive and high-fidelity experience, allowing both music lovers and film aficionados to experience utter perfection.
Re-defining what is achievable for high-end home audio, each model in the Platinum Series 3G features the new 3rd generation Micro Pleated Diaphragm (MPD III) high frequency transducer. Developed by Monitor Audio’s acoustic engineers when creating the company’s ground-breaking ‘Concept 50’ prototype, this breathtakingly accurate tweeter was unveiled earlier this year for our 50th Anniversary celebrations.
PLATINUM C250 3G
The Platinum C250 3G centre channel boasts an MPD III transducer, a 2,5” RDT III mid-range driver and two 6” RDT III bass drivers. It’s designed to be the perfect partner with any combination of Platinum loudspeakers to create the last word in home theatre sound.
The Platinum C250 3G presents a powerfully detailed performance, while being easy to position for the creation of the ultimate Platinum Series 3G home theatre system. It benefits from the latest MPD III transducer, 2.5” RDT III mid-range driver, and twin 6” RDT III bass drivers, which combine to increase directivity and dynamic range. It’s designed to deliver increased performance in a more compact cabinet arrangement then previous models (it actually replaces two models, the C150 2G and C350 2G), and when placed at the centre of a home theatre system, the Platinum C250 3G’s impact and ability to propel a listener to the very heart of the action is undeniable.
