ClearAudio Basic Phono Preamplifier - The Basic phonostage offers both MM and MC capabilities, with enough gain to drive the lowest output cartridges. It is a very simple unit to operate with a single button switching between MM and MC functionality. Another nice feature is it dedicated power transformer, which resides outside the actual phonostage to keep the audio circuit as quiet as possible. The layout of the circuitry is optimised for high channel separation, complementing Clearaudio phono cartridges. All of our phono preamplifiers use the Clearaudio non-magnetic MPC RCA jacks.

Clearaudio Basic Plus Phono Preamplifier combines quality engineering and performance with the flexibility of moving magnet or moving coil switching. The Basic Plus really is a plug and play product. Automatically adjusts the input impedance matching thus ensuring every cartridge is correctly loaded. It's external power supply also separates unwanted RF/EMI from from it's sensitive circuits. Offers both MM (41 dB gain) and MC (62 dB gain) capabilities with enough to drive the lowest output cartridges. Simple single button switching between MM and MC.

Benz Micro Lukaschek PP-1 Phono Stage Preamplifier for moving coil cartridges. The small size of the PP-1 allows close placement to the turntable, minimizing signal leads from the tonearm. The whole power supply is inboard the PP-1 chassis except for an external power transformer, which is outboard to eliminate magnetic field interaction. The miniature size of the PP-1 also allows all circuit components to be very close to one another. This significantly reduces circuit board traces, which could introduce noise and sonic degradation. The PP-1 is optimized for moving coil amplification, thus does not provide switches and or jumpers for gain setting or resistive loading. This elimination of unneeded circuit junction points preserves the low noise/high performance characteristics of this superb phono preamp.
